We have hit the 2009 show season with a real bang. Our premier herd sire Accoyo Bulleyman won Champion Suri Sire at the 2009 British Alpaca Futurity, following on from 2008, where Suri Wonder Dream won the same prestigious prize. We have also had the pleasure of showing one of Accoyo Bulleyman's best fawn sons this year. Cambridge Everard won Supreme Champion Suri Alpaca in each of the four shows he was entered - including the BAS National Show. Everard will be available for stud service for customers stock in 2010.
On the farm here in West Sussex we have had a lot of interest in chicken farmers using suri alpaca wethers as chicken guards against foxes and we have had excellent feedback from sheep farmers who have been using wethers to protect their ewes during lambing season.
